# Eliot Durbin

Eliot is a General Partner at boldstart and has been leading first rounds in enterprise startups for over a decade. He is most passionate about working with product focused founders going to market.

Prior to boldstart, Eliot co founded Penny Black in 2008, a private investment firm in NYC investing across a broad range of sectors. He also previously founded Templates.com, an online software retailer, sold in late 2002 and worked at the Permal Group, a multi-billion dollar global fund of hedge funds (acquired by Legg Mason in 2006).

Eliot is a graduate of Georgetown University with postgraduate study at Columbia University. He enjoys house music and most water sports (except for polo 😂).
